SNAKES OF RUSSIA
EDITORS’ PICK ///
As editors at ABSYNTH.space, we take pride with utmost sincerity in finding some real hidden gems in synth-based music. Thanks to our friend, FUTURE ENEMIES, we recently struck black gold.
Introducing, SNAKES OF RUSSIA.
Little is known about our new all-time favorite dark, progressive synth artist. But that’s alright. Sometimes, retaining mystery is always best.
How do you like your synth music? We personally like ours with Beluga caviar and fine vintage Krug (we love dark, rich bubbles). SNAKES OF RUSSIA just delivered that in his EP At Home with Lions. Rich, intoxicating, moody, ambient yet decadently executed with harsh, bottom-end heavy jet black synths that are also effervescent - and at times even ethereal- like smoke. Did we catch a hint of alabaster tones and sandalwood in there? It won’t surprise us. We love to nerd over the culture and intelligence behind music in every modulation. We are completely lost in our own awe of the experiential value this EP provides. Something we truly treasure, which has not happened in a very, very long time.
Go dive in, get drunk and high. You’ll thank us later.
